Our President & CEO, Mitchell Cohen was invited to present at the World Urban Forum (WUF), a global conference convened by the United Nations (UN) Hosted this year in Katowice Poland, the forum brought together many stakeholders from across the globe to engage in important discussions related to urban development.

Mitchell attended the forum virtually and shared the story of the Regent Park revitalization and how the project has transformed a once highly stigmatized low-income neighbourhood into a vibrant community, one that is inclusive, sustainable, and resilient for generations to come. The revitalization’s success is a testament to the importance of values-driven business and investment and its pivotal role in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) by 2030 and beyond.

The theme of the forum was Transforming our Cities for a Better Urban Future. Those in attendance share the same vision for the future of global cities and are actively leading the transformation through continuous conversation, education and sharing of experiences, practices and policies. With continued participation from the world’s government officials, business leaders, urban planners and community leaders, solutions are developed on how to build better, more sustainable cities for everyone to live safely and independently.
