As Chief Development Officer at The Daniels Corporation, Remo Agostino leads the company’s development strategy, overseeing projects from land acquisition through planning and approvals. Remo oversees a dynamic team including Development; Design and Architecture; Sustainability and Social Impact. He plays a key role in identifying opportunities, fostering partnerships, and ensuring Daniels’ communities reflect our commitment to sustainability and inclusivity.
With over 28 years in real estate and urban planning, Remo began his career in office real estate brokerage before transitioning to private urban planning consulting, where he worked with public and private sector clients. Since joining Daniels in 2003, he has played a pivotal role in transformative projects such as the Regent Park revitalization, infill developments across the GTA, and affordable housing initiatives like the WRP Neighbourhood Housing Development.
Passionate about city-building, Remo brings a collaborative approach to development, working closely with diverse stakeholders to create vibrant communities. He is an active member of BILD and the Urban Land Institute and his expertise in urban planning policies and stakeholder engagement has positioned him as a key voice in city-building.
Remo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a specialization in Urban Development from York University and a Master of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto. A Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) and a member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI), he also gives back through volunteer work with the Urban Land Institute mentorship program, Habitat for Humanity and Second Harvest.
