Brian Merkley is the Vice President of Construction Project Management at The Daniels Corporation. With complete oversight of the Project Management team, Brian is responsible for recruitment, project allocations, project management strategy, and risk mitigation. Under his leadership, the Project Management team plays a pivotal role in directing and organizing every phase of the construction project lifecycle, from ideation to completion. The team collaborates with stakeholders, consultants, trade contractors, and the construction operations team, ensuring each project aligns with Daniels’ standards of care, quality, and excellence.
Brian’s career at Daniels began in 2001 as a summer student, marking the start of an incredible 24-year journey. Spending 8 years on-site before transitioning into project management provided him with a deep understanding of the construction process from the ground up. His expertise spans demolition, remediation, site servicing, planning, construction, occupancy, turnover, and closeout across both residential and commercial developments.
Throughout his tenure, Brian has played a key role in several landmark Daniels communities, including NY Towers, Mississauga City Centre and the revitalization of Toronto’s Regent Park. Additionally, he has been instrumental in the development of Daniels Waterfront – City of the Arts.
Brian holds a diploma in Construction Engineering Technology from George Brown College and is passionate about giving back to the community. He actively supports initiatives such as Second Harvest and Ronald McDonald House, embodying Daniels’ commitment to building not just homes, but stronger communities.
With his extensive industry experience and strategic leadership, Brian continues to drive the success of Daniels’ construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and with the highest standards of quality and care.
